Teach at our Studio

The Dance Company is a top dance studio in Indianapolis. In operation since 1976, we provide dance training based on education and technique to students from age 3 and up. We are passionate about dance and our success is based on our attention to proper technique, sound teaching practices and our commitment to age and level appropriate choices in a family friendly environment. 

What We're Looking For

Are a motivated and energetic person looking to collaborate and create with other supportive teaching artists in a stable, positive studio environment.

Want to make a lasting positive impact in the lives of young people by being a caring mentor and exemplary role model.

Love dance and want to share that passion through education based on sound technique, history and artistry.

Are well versed in a variety dance genres and are comfortable teaching across several ages or levels.

Roles and Responsibilities

Teach classes with patience and enthusiasm across a range of levels and abilities.

Plan and deliver outstanding lessons that are engaging and allow students to progress their abilities

Choreograph routines for our performances.

Attend various meetings throughout the year

Meet deadlines given for finishing routines, handing in music, choosing costumes etc.

Attend our mandatory dress rehearsal week leading up to our performances, and attend day of performance to help backstage.

Stay actively engaged with the director and parents on class progress throughout the season.

Be a positive light for our students and model kindness and enthusiasm inside the studio with a can-do attitude.

Love to receive feedback and knowledge to learn and always improve as an instructor and human.

We are committed to continuing education and our instructors attend teacher training schools and master classes regularly. We take seriously our responsibility to be positive role models to our students while inspiring them to be their best every day.
